Gemporia Wishlist// Rose Gold & Blush Jewellery

Gemporia Jewellery Wishlist

Gemporia Jewellery Wishlist

Hello lovelies! If you're a jewellery lover, you need to check out Gemporia asap. If you've never heard of this brand before I'll quickly fill you in! Gemporia are an online store which sell beautiful jewellery made from genuine gemstones and precious metals. With an aim to bring us unique and affordable jewellery, Gemporia have really made a name for themselves. They've even attracted celebs such as Jourdan Dunn and Karlie Kloss (just to name a few). Most importantly, Gemporia work closely with The Colourful Life Foundation which aid communities where gemstones are found and support and educate them so that they can grow.

I was having a browse, as you do, and I noticed that you could shop by colour of gemstone and I kind of got sucked into the pink and rose gold sections of jewellery. I know, predictable right? Lets not deny it, we've all bought at least one rose gold item over the past year. If you haven't, I congratulate you on your willpower and non conformity. Everything in this wishlist is under £30 which I think is impressive for such high quality jewellery. Here's a few of my favourites...

1. Gemporia Ratanakiri Zircon Midas Earrings £19

First up are the Gemporia Ratanakiri Zircon Midas earrings. Everyone needs at least one pair of dressy earrings in their life. I really like the simplicity of the stones and the rose gold mounting makes the earrings look so delicate. To be honest, I'd wear these earrings day or night. They're too pretty to keep for special occasions. Every moment is a special occasion right?

2. Gemporia Kaori Cultured Pearl Sterling Silver Ring £18

This Gemporia Kaori Cultured Pearl ring is neither blush nor rose gold but I had to add it to my wishlist. What can I say, I'm a huge sucker for pearls. Again the simplicity of the ring really emphasises the beauty of the pearl.

3. Gemporia Zambezia Morganite Two Tone Midas Ring £29

I was really attracted to this Gemporia Zambezia Morganite ring due to the the design. You may remember me saying a while back that I had a thing for big cocktail rings and this brought all those feelings back. With the large flower and the small gemstone centre it's such a feminine piece.

4. Gemporia Rose Quartz Necklace In Sterling Silver £30

I think this Gemporia Rose quartz necklace may be my favourite piece. Something kept drawing me back to look at it and I had to put it in my wishlist. I just love the statement stones. Not too big (think Pat Butcher) and not too small. Perfect!

5. Gemporia Aquamarine Gold Vermeil Bracelet £28

Sometimes the simplest of jewellery can pack the biggest punch. I love how this Aquamarine Gold Vermeil bracelet has the two tails at the end and the delicate jewel dangling down. It would really add a touch of class to any outfit. I can definitely see myself wearing this with a little black dress whilst being wined and dined for the evening. Hint hint...

6. Gemporia Zambezia Morganite And White Topaz Sterling Silver Ring £27

The same as the Rose Quartz necklace, something kept drawing me towards this Gemporia Zambezia Morganite and White Topaz ring. I'm going through a ring phase at the moment which is probably why I've added so many to this wishlist. With the three blush/nude pink stones and the intricate detailing around the centre piece, what's not to like?

Have you shopped with Gemporia before? What's your favourite piece?

Face Of The Day Featuring Born Pretty Store

Born Pretty Store Makeup

Hello lovelies! I'm back and I thought I'd change things up with a face of the day seeing as I hadn't done one in a while. I also know a lot of you liked my latest eBay bargains post (click HERE if you missed it) so I thought you guys would be interested in hearing about some more bargains. Today's post features a few products from Born Pretty Store. People seem to love their makeup brushes and nail art products on Instagram so if you're handy in the nail department (see what I did there) you might like to check them out. Unfortunately, I'm so bad at nail art that my attempt at polkadots look more like polkasplodges... I guess I'll stick to the makeup side ey? Here's my thoughts on a few of the products I tested out.

Let's start with the Born Pretty Eyeshadow Palette* $9.56 (around £6). It comes with 15 matte shades, a sponge tip applicator and a really good mirror. There's nothing worse than one of those face warping mirrors. You all know what I'm talking about, the ones where you're tempted into plucking half of your eyebrow off. The colours in this eyeshadow palette are so beautiful but I had a little difficulty getting pigmentation from two or three of the lighter shades. You have to give your brush a good few swirls for it to pick up product which is slightly disappointing but they are buildable. On the other hand, the darker shades seem to be packed with pigmentation although harder to blend. It's hit and miss really. A little tip - if the pigmentation isn't great spray your brush with setting spray first. That's what I've been doing with this product and I'm able to get more use out of the lighter colours.

These Born Pretty Crisscross False Eyelashes* (#1) are perfect for a dramatic evening look. The lashes have a plastic feel to them which I was worried about to begin with. It's hard to describe but I actually really liked them once they were on. I'm going on my first night out in over a year at the weekend (wish me luck) and I'm considering wearing them again then. Although they have a plastic feel, I had no problem shaping them around my eyes and they stayed on all day. With a coat of mascara, I was also able to curl them upwards. Not bad for $0.99.

I have a Born Pretty 10% discount code for full priced items  - MTH10 if anyone fancies a browse.

If you're interested in what I have on my face:

Foundation: Mac Studio Fix Fluid mixed with The Body Shop's Lightening Foundation Drops
Concealer: Mac Studio Finish Concealer
Undereye Concealer: La Girl Pro Concealer
Contour & Highlight: Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette
Blush: Makeup Revolution Blusher
Eyebrows: Benefit Browzings
Eyeliner: Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner
Mascara: YSL Luxurious Mascara
Lipstick: Menow Liquid Lipsticks Shade 26

What's your thoughts? Have you tried anything from Born Pretty Store before?

L'Occitane Mother's Day Gift Ideas

L'Occitane Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Hello again! It's almost that time of the year for us to show our appreciation to that special lady in our lives. Review// The New Cosmopolitan Perfume

Cosmopolitan Perfume
Cosmopolitan PerfumeCosmopolitan Perfume
Cosmopolitan Perfume

Hello lovelies! Is anyone else a perfume hoarder? Hands up, me me me me me! We've come a long way since spritzing those So Kiss Me perfumes and Charlie (in red of course) on the way to school. If you didn't carry one of those in your bag, there was always one girl who had your back when you asked for a sneaky spray between breaks. Now it's not so simple. There's so much choice!

Now I like to pick and choose depending on my mood, season or purely because I like the smell. I have a new perfume that I've been using since December and I think it's something you guys might like to hear about because I can't get enough of it! I was recently sent a bottle of Cosmopolitan's self titled new perfume* to try out. It's about time they brought a perfume out isn't it? I mean, who else is more qualified in knowing what us ladies like? Before I received the perfume I was imagining a scent that depicted all the ladies they feature in their magazines. Strong yet sweet and seductive of course. I wasn't too far off.

They Say:

The Cosmopolitan woman's zest for life is captured in fresh sparkling top notes of mandarin, bergamot and red berries. Then comes the surprisingly seductive heart: hypnotic night- blooming jasmine and the powdery sweetness of heliotrope. Pimento berries give it a rich shot of spice, while carrot seed offers something earthy and unexpected. The base will linger on your skin long after you've sprayed, with powerful patchouli, comforting vanilla and the tobacco-like qualities of tonka.

How could I not mention the packaging. Cosmpolitans's bottle is absolutely stunning with the pink and orange tones running throughout the glass. The bottle has an art deco feel to it with the imprints on the sides and on the lid. As far as looks go, this is a bottle that I'm happy to have on my dressing table.

TOP: Pineapple, bergamot, cardamom, mandarin, nectarine and red berries.
MIDDLE: Saffron, heliotrope, night-blooming jasmine, pimento berries and carrot seed.
BASE: Tonka, Patchouli, musk, sandalwood, vanilla and caramel.

My Thoughts:

As I'm not a perfume expert, I'll try to describe the scent in my own words. Bare with me on this one, I feel like Derek Acorah channelling a ghost. Oooh I'm picking up hints of this and that.

Once you've sprayed Cosmopolitan and let it settle for a few minutes, you can really start to pick out the fruity scents such as the pineapple and the berries. Although this is fruity, it still has some deeper tones to it. In particular I can notice the caramel scent which I love as it adds a warm texture to the fragrance.

I can definitely say that Cosmpolaitan have got this spot on. Not too strong, not too sweet making it a good transitioning perfume for day to night. One of the most important things about a perfume (scent aside) is the lasting power. I personally can't smell perfume on me after a few hours as I get used to it but my boyfriend has repeatedly told me that I smell nice throughout the day.

Often we go straight for the well known perfume brands such as Gucci, Prada etc. but I think we should give a big warm welcome to the newcomer in the perfume department. Cosmopolitan have killed it. As always though, I'd give perfume a tester in store first as smell is completely subjective to the person but I personally think this is a great all rounder. Cosmpolitan is an Eau De Parfum and comes in three sizes 30ml (£28) 50ml (£38) and 100ml (£48). These are now available at Boots so if you fancy a browse I'll leave a link HERE.

Have you tried Cosmopolitan yet? Throw some of your favourite Spring scents at me!

Ebay Bargains #2// Conceal Contour Palette & La Girl Pro Concealer Review

Ebay Bargains Conceal and contour palette
Ebay Bargains Conceal And Contour Palette Swatches

Ebay Bargains La Girl Pro Concealer

Hello lovelies! Today's post is all about Ebay makeup. I've decided to start a cheap Ebay products series as I've gathered quite a collection. I hope that it's something you guys are interested in. I mean, who can resist an Ebay bargain? I have been a little wary of buying cheap makeup from China as it isn't clear what the ingredients are. You may remember my first Ebay bargains post (which you can find here) where I'm pretty sure the eyelash glue was just super glue in a fancy tube. All I will say is stay clear kids. You don't want to be walking around like the fly. I did a little research this time and everyone has been giving Ebay makeup a big thumbs up so I thought I'd give it a go. Today I'm focusing on concealing and contouring as it's something we're all still going crazy for. Damn those Kardashians for adding an extra ten minutes to our makeup routine (still totally worth it though).

Ebay Concealer And Contour Palette: (£1.77)

So as you can see, this Conceal and Contour Palette has a range of colours starting with your basic colour correcting shades. Here's a quick guide to colour correcting.

Colour Correction Basics:

Green concealer conceals redness (eg. blemishes and acne scarring)
Purple/lilac concealer conceals yellowness (eg. dull yellow skin)
Orange/salmon concealer conceals blue/ purple tones (eg. dark circles)
Yellow concealer conceals purple/blue tones (eg. dark circles and bruises)

The shades in the first two rows of the Ebay concealer palette are amazing at colour correcting and concealing those skin problems that always seem to show through foundation. I've mainly been using the green, yellow and salmon shades as my acne scarring and dark circles are difficult to cover. The concealers are super creamy giving perfect pigmentation. Usually I'm a brush kind of girl but I definitely recommend using your fingers to apply as they warm the product and increase the coverage. Once you've covered the areas, just apply your foundation. I find a beauty blender works best as you don't have to rub the products to blend them.

The darker shades in the cream contour palette are ok. I know that sounds unenthusiastic but I'm still not a cream contour convert. I have played around with a few of the lighter brown shades and they work for my skintone but I just don't have the patience to blend that out aswell as a powder contour and not to mention my eyeshadow. If you are a cream contour fan, there are so many colours in this palette making it suitable for all skin tones. The only thing that I'm disappointed with is the highlighter. It is so bad that I can barely even see it on my finger. That aside, it's totally worth a look for the price. At least you can throw it out if you don't like it.

La Girl Pro Concealer Shade Porcelain: (£2.99)

As I live in the UK, La Girl is a brand that I've wanted to to try for a while but I couldn't get my hands on. As soon as I spotted this on Ebay I knew I had to snap it up. It was actually cheaper than any drugstore concealer that I've tried so that was another thing that persuaded me.

After I've done all my colour correcting and my foundation has been applied, I like to use this La Girl Pro Concealer to highlight under my eyes. This stuff is crazy and I can't believe I've waited so long to try it. I think this may be the first concealer I've found that has a shade lighter than my makeup (#palegirlproblems). In fact they have 24 shades meaning that everyone is covered. I've even seen girls buy a light and a dark shade to contour with.

At first I was terrified that the La Girl Pro Concealer was too pale but I was wrong and it blends out so well giving me a lovely under eye highlight. What I don't like about this concealer is that it is difficult to squeeze out. When I say difficult, I mean really difficult. You have to give it a good squeeze but once the tube is flowing it is fine. I also noticed that the product has small lumps in it but thankfully they blend straight out. I'm definitely going to stock up on a few of these as I love it. Dare I say, I like it more than the Lasting Perfection concealer.

So this time there has been no tears, tantrums or allergic reactions so if you're after some cheaper alternatives for contouring and concealing I'd definitely recommend giving these a go. If anyone would like any tutorials let me know as I'm trying to squeeze more time in to change my blog up.

What's your thoughts? Have you tried any of these products before?

Review// Temple Spa Spiritude And Quietude Aromatherapy Sprays

Temple Spa Spiritude and Quietude Aromatherapy Sprays
Temple Spa Spiritude and Quietude Aromatherapy Sprays
Temple Spa Spiritude and Quietude Aromatherapy Sprays

Hello again! Today's post is all about falling asleep and attempting to stay awake. "What is sleep?" I hear you all cry. I know alot of us have trouble catching those z's so why do we find it so hard to nod off? Maybe it's because we're glued to our phones until the early hours of the morning (totally justifiable as you never know what gossip you'll miss). Even if we put our phones down, isn't it weird how all the things we've forgotten to do just pop into our head just as it touches the pillow? I have been known to wake up in the middle of the night panicking incase we forgot to put the bin out. Isn't that the most boring thing for my brain to be worrying about? The part that is often overlooked is waking up which is equally as hard. My brain often incorporates my alarm sound into my dreams so that I can sleep right through it. Good for me but not so good for my boyfriend.

I was kindly sent these Temple Spa Quietude* and Spiritude* aromatherapy sprays to make winding down and waking up a little bit easier. These sprays have been recommended by a multitude of magazines such as Glamour, Cosmopolitan and even Psychologies due to the benefits of using them. I couldn't pass up the opportunity for a well deserved sleep and an energised day. I'm a huge fan of using aromatherapy/essential oils in the bath to calm me down (especially lavender oil and tea tree oil) but I hadn't tried anything to wake me up before. Let's see how I got on shall we?

Temple Spa Quietude - Wind Me Down

They say

The ultimate product to say goodbye to stress and tension. We love QUIETUDE body and room essence because it can be used in a number of ways. Spritz onto your towels and drape them over a warm radiator; or simply spray in the air around you to release the wonderfully cocooning Mediterranean essential oils of cedarwood, cypress, lavender, clove, vetiver, orange, patchouli, frankincense and camomile. The soothing aroma will help tension ebb away, leaving you wrapped in peace and relaxation. Calming and soothing for mind and soul – to help you spa wherever you are!

- Relaxing fragrance for the room and body
-Induces instant peace and calm
- Soothing aromatherapy blend of essential oils
- Unisex fragrance
- Refreshes the air around you
- Anti-toxic and antibacterial
- Antidote to insomnia or jet-lag
- Soothes the nerves, deepens breathing
- Great for soothing fretful children
- Paraben free

Temple Spa Spiritude - Wake Me Up

They say

SPIRITUDE is a body and room essence with a zesty fresh aroma of Mediterranean essential oils including lemon, passion fruit, bergamot, grapefruit, peppermint and ginger. The wonderfully energising fragrance is just the thing when you need help to restore your equilibrium and lift flagging spirits. Spray this uplifting mist lightly on the body, on pulse points and in the space around you. A touch of vitality when you’re lacking energy, or feeling a little tired. The ultimate pick-me-up!

- Energises body and soul
- Great for that foggy feeling
- Space and body fragrance
- Hydrating and moisturising body mist
- Provides a sense of vitality and alertness
- Excellent to boost flagging spirits
- Pick me up when you have to go out after work

Let's start with Temple Spa's Quietude as it is my favourite! I spray this on my pillows and wrists to calm me down before I go to sleep. The scent is strong but not in a breath catching kind of way. It's just a noticeable smell. I can definitely pick out the lavender in the spray so if you're not a fan then I'd give it a sniff first. Personally I can't get enough of lavender so I've been spraying whenever I can. I have't tried this on my warm towels yet but when I have a chance to do a pamper day I'll definitely give it a go. I find that with this spray, it doesn't send me straight to sleep but it distracts me from thinking of random thoughts as I concentrate more on breathing the smell in. It sounds weird but it really works to calm me down. My boyfriend even asks if I'll give his pillow a spritz too.

Temple Spa's Spiritude definitely has the strongest scent of the two but the mix of lemon and orange make it more appealing. This one is very zesty with the citrus scents making it perfect for giving you an uplifting boost in the mornings. Anyone who is a fan of Lush's orange scented products will know how invigorating citrus scents can be. I spray this one if I'm having a really sluggish day. You know the ones where you just want to lie on the couch surrounded by chocolate and blankets but really you have to do a zillion and one things. It helps me to focus for a while so this is handy for when I need to get something important out of the way. I should keep this one by my bedside as I probably could benefit from spraying it first thing in the morning aswell.

The Quietude mist is definitely my favourite out of the two as it takes my mind off everything. It really calms me down and encourages me to drift off quicker than usual. Aromatherapy is such a good way to influence your mood. You can create your own concoction for bath time using essential oils or if you fancy having a quick fix, aromatherapy sprays are a lovely alternative. The Temple Spa Wake Me Up And Wind Me Down Duo were part of the Mediterranean Christmas gift selection but I know you can buy these in singular bottles which are perfect if you're just after one or the other. I'll leave a link for Quietude (30ml £7/100ml £24) here and a link for Spiritude (100ml £24) here if anyone is interested. I'd love to hear your recommendations for aromatherapy sprays so let me know what helps you.

Share your tops tips for getting a good night's sleep in the comments. Maybe we can help each other out!

Review// Cheerz Box Polaroid Photo Prints

Cheerz Box Polaroid Photo Prints
Cheerz Box Polaroid Photo Prints
Cheerz Box Polaroid Photo Prints
Cheerz Box Polaroid Photo Prints

Hello again! Don't you just love taking photos? I miss the good old days when I used to take snaps on my Kodak disposable camera and then beg my mum to take me to Tesco to get them printed. Having to wait an hour then eventually being able to open the pouch and relive all those memories. Even the memory of the time you took that amazing photo with your thumb halfway over the lens... we've all been there but that's what made it so special.

Now I have a gazillion and one photos lurking in folders on my laptop and phone and well ... nothing to do with them. If they don't fit my instagram theme they go into a folder. Sad, I know! If they're too boring/goofy for facebook they go straight in a folder. Even the ones I do post on social media, I don't really do anything with them. Photos really mean a lot to me. Especially the ones of my friends and family. They shouldn't be left to sit around with random photos of dogs smiling. If you don't have a folder full of random dogs smiling you really should. They definitely brighten up a dull day.

I was recently contacted by Cheerz* and asked if I'd like to try out their online photo printing service. After a quick browse of their website Cheerz.com it was a big hell to the yes. You can choose to print photos in sticker form, magnets , photo strips, photo books, posters and photo boxes, you name it. After a lot of uhmming and ahhing, I eventually chose the Cheerz photo box which costs £13.00 including the storage box and 30 prints. The photos come in polaroid style prints which I fell in love with instantly. I have a bit of a thing for polaroid cameras but after learning the hard way that the cost of the film soon adds up, I eventually sold mine. Tragic, I know but when I saw the option for polaroid printing I couldn't wait to see how they turned out!

The Cheerz website is pretty easy to navigate. All you have to do is select your photos from either your phone or laptop and upload them to the site. You can even download the Cheerz app which is available on Android and IOS meaning that you can even print Instagram photos. At the end, you are then given the option of editing your photos using different filters (which were surprisingly pretty) or just leaving them as they are. You can also change the colour of the border and add text underneath. I kept it simple and didn't add any text as I'd be there all day trying to think of what to write. As for the box, you can even pick the design too!

The photos arrived within a few days and looked so beautiful in the box I chose. The photos themselves turned out amazingly. They actually looked even better than they had on my laptop. I couldn't be happier with them and it was lovely to be able to look back at some old memories.

Personalised photo gifts are becoming a hugely popular thing and Cheerz has made the process so simple. Even if you want to keep the memories for yourself, this is a quick and easy way to ensure you don't forget about all those special moments. If you fancy a look, I'll leave a link here

What's your thoughts? Are you a fan of online photo printing or are you still holding on to those kodak memories?

Review// Avene Cleanance Expert and TriAcneal Expert Moisturiser

Avene Triacneal Expert and Avene Cleanance Expert Emulsion
Avene Triacneal Expert and Avene Cleanance Expert Emulsion
Avene Triacneal Expert and Avene Cleanance Expert Emulsion
Avene Triacneal Expert and Avene Cleanance Expert Emulsion

Hello lovelies! After all those late nights (and netflix binges) our skin may not be in the most forgiving mood. Moisturising is key to a good skincare routine but it can be so difficult to find the perfect one. How hard is it to find a decent moisturiser?! It's even harder to find a decent oil free moisturiser. I've been testing a few products from Avene for over two months now to see if I could see any improvements in my complexion. Usually with skincare products, they works well for two weeks then my skin freaks out again so I thought I'd see what would happen if I used them for a longer period of time. I've heard a lot of good things about other Avene products and French skincare in general so let's see how I got on!

Avene Cleanance Expert*

They say:

Avene's Cleanance Expert Emulsion claims to regulate the production of sebum to mattify the skin. It gently exfoliates without stripping to unclog pores leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth.

Our exclusive patented ingredient Diolényl®, has a triple action helping to:
-Eliminate spots, blackheads and blemishes
-Limit the spread of acne causing bacteria
-Reduce redness and inflammation
-Suitable for sensitive skin. Can be used alongside acne topical treatment.
-Oil free, paraben free, AHA and BHA free, with a mattifying powdery finish.

The instructions state to use this morning and or evening after thoroughly cleansing skin but I've just been using this moisturiser as a day cream due to how light it is. The cream is white in colour and smells beautiful. It's not too scented but enough to make moisturising enjoyable. Once applied, the moisturiser starts to sink in straight away and doesn't leave a residue behind which is a huge relief. Although Cleanance Expert doesn't leave a residue on the skin, my skin actually looks fresh and bright afterwards. This is perfect for using under makeup as there's no added grease. As this is a moisturiser for acne prone skin and is oil free, I'm not sure if it would be hydrating enough for those with dry skin.

Avene TriAcneal Expert*

They say:
TriAcnéal Expert Emulsion is an evening moisturiser that comprehensively targets blemishes, marks and the first signs of ageing, so that those looking for clearer skin and anti-ageing care no longer have to compromise.

The three main concerns of adults with blemish-prone skin are tackled by three advanced actives:
o Diolényl® has an anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effect to help eliminate and prevent blemishes
o X-Pressin™ is a gentle but efficient exfoliating enzyme to help reduce the appearance of stubborn marks left behind by blemishes
o Retinaldehyde, a Vitamin A derivative, has a rejuvenating effect which helps to unblock pores, reduce residual marks and gives added anti-ageing benefits

TriAcneal Expert is a night cream for acne prone skin. This one is a little thicker and orangey yellow in colour. Colour aside, there's nothing beige about this product. Again this Avene lotion smells just like the Cleanance Expert which I love. This one has a small pump top and one to two pumps gives me more than enough to massage into my whole face. Sometimes with moisturisers they don't seem to spread well but this glides beautifully across the skin.

Let's check this against the claims. The blemishes I get are mainly on my chin and lower cheeks. I also have a fringe so I'm guessing it's a breeding ground for those pesky blemishes on my forehead too. I noticed that I've had hardly any blemishes on my forehead and cheeks since using Avene which is amazing. As for my chin, I'm still breaking out but not as heavily. So far I've avoided those hard lumpy blemishes so I'm guessing it is doing something right. I'm actually really impressed at how much it has reduced the redness of my scarring although it is still there. Usually I'm quite critical of my skin but I can actually say that my skin is looking healthier. After a quick browse online, I noticed that a lot of girls had drastic improvements with their skin after using this over long periods of time so I'm going to stick at it.

Update: I wrote this post a few weeks ago and I'm just updating to say that I haven't broken out in so long on my lower cheeks that my scarring is even starting to disappear. Fingers crossed I haven't just jinxed myself! As for my chin I'm still mildly breaking out but hey,  that's mother nature for you.

Overall, I'm really impressed by this skincare range by Avene. I haven't had much luck with the past few moisturisers I've tried so it has been refreshing to find something that doesn't leave me with a greasy face and extra blemishes. I actually would recommend this to anyone who is struggling to find a moisturiser aimed at acne prone skin. I don't often do this as I get bored easily but I'm definitely going to repurchase these once they run out. They even have a 3 for 2 offer on in Boots at the moment so if you're interested, check it out!

Hello again! I hope you all had an amazing New Year! Today's post is all about growing out those lovely lashes and beautiful brows. Have you dreamed of having fluttery eyes, the kind that bambi would be envious of? To be honest I haven't. That's because I had no idea that there were eyelash growth serums available. I thought that you just had to take what you were given and throw a good lashing of mascara on to manage the situation. Now that part has been brought into the equation, yes gimmie long fluttery eyelashes asap. Let's add full brows into the mix and you've totally got me. Alot of us have been battling to grow out that 90's brow and I'm there with you. I'm doing well except that I have one patch that just wont seem to grow. I hadn't plucked him for months and yet there were still no signs of life minus a few minuscule hairs. When I was contacted by StyleLux and asked if I wanted to try Quickmax* I couldn't let this beauty secret go untried.

Quickmax - The Claims

-Rejuvenates growth cycle

-Builds tissue to anchor lashes meaning more time to grow

-Conditions eyelids

-Repairs dry,brittle and damaged eyelashes

-All natural ingredients

-Apply Quickmax like eyeliner at bedtime

-Can also be used as a brow growth serum

Eyelash Growth Results:
Ok so lets start with my lashes. My eyelashes aren't particularly sparse but I'm not going to turn my nose up to longer lashes. I applied the Quickmax serum like eyeliner before bed and that was it. I used this for a around a week (recommended usage 1-4 weeks to see results). I didn't really think anything of it until I looked in the mirror one day and my eyelashes were more noticable. I don't really check out my eyelashes in the morning but they stood out for once. It was all going fine and well until one night my eyes started to sting and water after applying it. My eyes can be sensitive to skincare products so it wasn't the first time this has happened. I'm guessing some of the liquid leaked into my eye whilst I was trying to sleep. I'm not going into the details of how dramatic I was about it but the end result was me washing my eye out. This put me off using it on my lashes again. I was already happy with the slight growth that I had so I thought it was sensible to stop using it. I did however continue using it on my eyebrows.

Eyebrow Growth Results:
I started using this as an eyebrow growth serum at the same time as my eyelashes but continued the usage after a week. As I said before, there is a patch that wont seem to grow that should join the head to the rest of the eyebrow. I really needed a boost to stimulate eyebrow growth in that area. I wasn't expecting miracles but I can now see baby eyebrow hairs poking through. There's still a few parts missing but I'm guessing they should pop up some time soon. Hopefully I can get the rest of my eyebrow back, I miss the guy.

Overall, I'm actually really pleased with Quickmax whilst I was using it as an eyebrow growth treatment. To be honest that's what I wanted to grow out the most. As for the lashes, I can imagine I would have seen greater growth if I had continued using Quickmax but I didn't fancy nursing a watery eye the next day. I had a browse online and no one else has mentioned this problem so I'm guessing it's just me and my sensitive old shrimp eyes. If I did go back to trying this on my lashes, I'd make sure that I was more careful with the application process. This growth enhancer serum is currently on offer for £24.95 so if you want to check it out I'll leave a link here.
