Hello lovelies! I remember back in college when one of my friends said to me, "You're the only person I know who wears a watch." It still makes me laugh as at the time, it really seemed like I was. I then recall being on a night out and someone recognised me as the girl who wears all the rings. I'm pretty sure I only had a few on but it made me a little more wary of how many I wear now. What can I say, I guess I'm a bit of a jewellery hoarder. I like all the essentials. You know, like one of each main piece (maybe not all at once though). I usually invest in long lasting pieces of jewellery over changeable pieces as I get attached to things and I can't be dealing with green fingers and itchy skin not to mention the devastation caused by a snapping clasp. You get the picture?

Recently I was contacted by the jewellery company Soufeel*. I wasn't aware of the company at the time but after a quick browse online I knew I had to share this with you. As you can probably see, the charm bracelet I chose bares a great resemblance to another well known jewellery company. Does Pandora ring any bells? Well think Pandora at a fraction of the cost! We all know that charm bracelets can end up pretty pricey once you've started adding charms to the total which makes this brand so special. The charm bracelets on offer range from your classic charm bracelet to leather strapped ones, bangles and a crystal collection. I decided to go for the classic in sterling silver as I find it goes with all my other jewellery.

The bracelet and charms arrived in a cardboard box with the Soufeel branding on it. Inside, the bracelet was contained in a beautiful white box with a blue bow. There is a very elegant feel to the box and it's one that you'd be proud to leave on display. Does anyone else do that? Inside, each charm was enclosed inside little clear plastic bags to ensure that they arrive safely. The same goes for the bracelet. At the bottom of the box, I found a white Soufeel bag which is a lovely touch especially if it has been bought as a gift.

I'm a bit of a softy and I prefer charms to have some sort of meaning behind them. So the five charms that I have are a little red suitcase. This reminds me of my first trip to Rome where my partner proposed. I told you I'm a big softy. The second is an S. Ok so there may be no meaning behind this (maybe incase I forget my initials or something) but I guess it's part of me. The little camera is just adorable. It has a silver gem where the shutter button would be and reminds me of how much blogging has increased my love of photography. The birthstone in blue topaz is adorable. It just looks so beautifully made and it really makes the bracelet pop. Finally, the love heart pendant. I just thought that this looked stunning on the website and in real life it looks even more beautiful with it's intricate detailing.

What I will say is that the charms look even better in real life then they do on the Soufeel website. I have a Pandora bracelet already so I had a play around and the charms are completely transferable either way. My only issue with the Soufeel charm bracelet is that they don't have the stoppers around the bracelet. A few times when I've tried to put it on, all the charms have fell off. I guess I just need to get in the habit of fastening it myself. In terms of the clasp it's sturdy and stays shut once it's been clipped together meaning that you don't have to worry about further droppage.

Overall, I'd say that Soufeel have done an excellent job of creating a classically beautiful charm bracelet at a fraction of the cost. I've noticed that there are a lot of offers on their website at the moment and for orders over $50 dollars it is free shipping. Not too bad considering that all items are sterling silver. They also have a 365 day return service which is handy if you aren't happy with the products. If you're interested, you can get 5% off orders when using the coupon code BLOG5.

Puffy Eyes & Dark Circles: Botanics Refreshing Eye Roll On All Bright Review

Botanics Refreshing Eye Roll On All Bright
Botanics Refreshing Eye Roll On All Bright
Botanics Refreshing Eye Roll On All Bright

Hello lovelies! I'm so grateful to all the blogs that I've read as this year as I've found so many beauty products that I love. I though that I'd return the favour and let you all in on my latest beauty secret. For years I've been struggling with dark circles and puffiness under my eyes. I'm quite religious with using eye creams but my latest one was causing irritation (mainly when I woke up). I think it was seeping into my eyes overnight and making it hard to open them. Either that or I just really like sleeping?

Anyway, I'd spotted a blogger talking about the Botanics range from Boots so when I saw they did a roll on eye gel I just couldn't resist. The product I'm talking about today is the Botanics Refreshing Eye Roll On All Bright. It retails at £8.99 but is currently on offer for £3 in Boots. I've always thought that roll on eye gels were a bit of a gimmick but I totally got sucked in by the claims of reduced appearance of dark circles and puffiness. Lets see how I got on shall we?

Packaging
The packaging is pretty simple which I prefer as it has a very natural feel to it. The tube itself isn't anything special but contains a metal roller ball on the end. I'll just point out that the ball is well rounded meaning there are no sharp edges to catch or drag on the skin.

Instructions:
The instructions state to use it twice a day by gliding it under your eyes and round to your brow bone and back. I'm not going to lie, this was pretty addictive. It just feels so soothing. The gel and the ball provide a cooling effect instantly which makes it perfect for tired eyes at the end of the day. There is a warning on the box stating to be careful whilst wearing and up to five days after you've finished using this as it contains alpha hydroxy acid which can cause sensitivity to the sun. It is advised you wear sunscreen to protect your skin but as it is Summer, I'm getting in the habit of wearing this anyway.

Results:
Lets take a look at the claims again. Botanics claim that their refreshing eye roll on reduces dark circles and puffiness. As far as the dark circles go, the gel has taken the edge off. Not to the point of looking fresh as a daisy when I wake up but it does leave a brightening film on the skin. This is because it contains hibiscus which is a natural brightener. Although it's not exactly the result that I was expecting I'm in love with this product. Previously my eyes had been puffy and swollen. After using this, my under eye bags seem a lot flatter especially when I've woken up. I think that this is due to the ball helping to reduce the fluid build up when moving it back and forth.

I never expected to see such a difference in my eye area. I thought that it would be something that I'd just have to deal with but that's not the case. If you're looking for a miracle product to completely remove dark circles then this may not be for you but if you want a brighter appearance or reduced puffiness then I'd definitely recommend it. Everything seems to be all bright now. See what I did there?

Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening & Discount Code

Smile Brilliant before and after

Smile Brilliant before and after

Hello lovelies! Today I'm talking all about teeth. Well teeth bleaching to be exact. I've always been self conscious about my teeth, I'm sure a lot of us have been at some point right? We all know that coffee and tea causes stains but what's life without coffee? I've tried drugstore bleach kits, uv lights, teeth whitening pens you name it but as I live in the UK, the percentage of bleach isn't enough to lift tough stains. I spend way to long looking in the mirror picking out all the faults in my smile. I'm also a fan of red lipstick which isn't always the most flattering colour for stained teeth. As a result of this, I rarely show my teeth in photos. Anyone else with me on this one?

Recently I was contacted by *Smile Brilliant asking if I wanted to test out their bleaching kits. They kindly allowed my boyfriend to test out the kit too which means you shall have a d├ębut of my boyfriend or should I say his lovely little teeth. For those of you haven't heard of Smile Brilliant, they are a professional teeth whitening company based in the US. They aim to provide professional strength teeth whitening without the $500+ cost of the trays being made at the dentists. Not everyone can afford the cost of dental teeth whitening making whitening at home a lot more appealing. If you have a quick browse online you'll see just how popular Smile Brilliant are. I was anxious about bleaching my teeth to begin with but after watching hours worth of teeth whitening reviews on Youtube I felt a lot more confident about the process. If you'd like to check their testimonials page out for yourself I'll leave a link here.

Packaging and contents:
Firstly, we were each sent a box containing three syringes of teeth whitening gel (22%), 3 syringes of desensitising gel, a small brush, two trays, three catalyst pastes and three base pastes. Instructions and  an envelope were also included. The box looks and feels very professional which is reassuring when putting your faith in a teeth whitening company.

Step 1:
Firstly you remove the putty from one of the base paste containers and one from the catalyst paste containers. It's a good job that they give you three of each as I always make mistakes with these kind of things. You then have to work quickly to fold both of them in on each other until it all becomes blue. You then mould this into the blue trays making sure to smooth the putty across. Once you have done this you put the top tray into your mouth and up to your teeth using a forward pressing motion. You then repeat this for the bottom teeth. I would advise you to make sure the teeth have entered fully into the mould as I messed this up the first time by only getting half of my teeth. I blame my boyfriend for making me laugh throughout the whole process. It was way too funny. You can then carefully remove the moulds once they've set. If you're not happy you can do this again. If you are happy, you leave the moulds to dry and then rinse them with cold water. Once they've fully set, you then send them back to Smile Brilliant using the envelope they provide in the box!

Step2:
Smile Brilliant sent our teeth back within around ten days. When I say teeth, I mean you actually get a mould of your teeth. I didn't add a picture as it was quite creepy although I did feel very Shakespearian holding a plaster set of teeth. Don't worry, they aren't going on display but I have kept them as a weird souvenir. Along with the teeth we also received a handy black case which contained our trays. One thing I remember about using drugstore trays is that they rarely fit properly and can be quite painful. The ones sent back from Smile Brilliant fitted perfectly. Not only did they fit but they were comfortable too which is important when you have to leave them in for long periods of time.

The Whitening Process:
You start off by applying a thin layer of the whitening gel around the front of your gum shield. You can use the small brush included to spread the gel around if you like. Make sure your teeth are clean and as dry as possible. You then insert your gum shields again using a forward pressing motion. It took us both around two weeks with a few days off between sessions to complete the whitening process. I started by leaving mine in half an hour and went up to an hour and a half a time. I couldn't do any longer as my teeth would become sensitive. My boyfriend on the other hand experienced very little sensitivity and left his in for around two hours each time. After each application you then remove the trays and wash them with cold water. You then apply the desensitising gel to the trays. This stuff is amazing! The gel helps to prevent the teeth from re-staining as they become very porous after bleaching. It also helps to reduce sensitivity and to heal any sore areas that the bleach has caused. You're advised to leave this in for fifteen minutes and then remove and clean again.

The Results:
Ok, so at first I wasn't sure if my teeth were getting whiter but by the end of the second week I definitely noticed the difference. My bottom teeth especially have really brightened up. My boyfriend's teeth have also whitened considerably. He had some nicotine stains from years ago which have completely disappeared. I don't think I really need to say much about the results as the pictures say it all. Me and my boyfriend have only just compared the before and afters and are still in shock from the difference it has made.

I'll definitely be repurchasing the bleach again as £23.17 for three syringes isn't bad at all especially as you don't need to use as much with it being so strong. The kit with the custom made trays costs £79.53 which is a lot cheaper than going to the dentists. If you'd like to have a look for yourself, I'll leave a link here for the trays and kit and a link here for the separate whitening gels.

As we all love a coupon, you can get 5% off by using the code sophieslittlesecrets

Have you whitened your teeth before? What's your thoughts?

Maybe not the same colour or pattern but it's fun to get some inspiration and play around with it. Here's some of my favourites, feel free to click the links if anything takes your fancy!
