Life's A Beach: Outfit Of The Day

Hello again lovelies! Do you remember my 70's New Look wishlist (if not you can find it here ). Well, I actually committed to buying something for once and let me tell you that it was a completely guilt free purchase. I was after a suede skirt but there weren't any left in store so I fell in love all over again with this cord skirt. I don't know if any of you have this problem but I have large hips and a small waist so skirts are often too loose on my waist and fit my hips or they fit my waist but I can't get it over my hips. This results in a lot of hopping and wiggling and then a huge sense of relief once it's up. I was so happy when I realised the skirt had popper buttons all the way down meaning I don't have to worry about trying to get it on. I love it when fashion caters for body needs even if it wasn't intended!

I paired the skirt with a rust coloured high neck top which I loooove and a denim jacket. Does anyone else struggle to find a jacket for spring? Once the weather warms up a little I hate the idea of wearing a coat as I've been swamped in a big winter warmer for months so I refuse to buy one. My denim is tiding me over until Summer!

Oh and if you didn't guess already, I went to the beach today. A word of advise: don't wear tights on the sand!

  1. Here, here, my poor hips (well in reality its probably the consequence of a big bum haha) never fit into skirts and trousers properly! Love the outfit, you look really lovely!

    1. I have the same problem I always panic if I've got jeans on as I'm not ready to commit to double denim. I end up neglecting my jacket but I'm aiming to wear it more often
