Everything Is Peachy: Loreal Le Blush Review

Well done everyone! We've almost made it out of those winter blues and are clutching at the beginning of Spring. As the seasons change, I find myself wanting to go all out with bright and warm colours just to speed the process up a little. I'm usually a pink blush kind of girl but I recently decided to broaden my horizons and invest in a peachy shade. That shade being Loreal True Match Le Blush in the shade Peach 160. This blush retails at £7.69 and as usual there is a three for two offer on in Boots at the moment. Although changing my blush shade is subtle, it definitely uplifts my mood.

I haven't tried any Loreal products before, or at least I can't remember ever buying anything from their range but I couldn't resist the beautiful mirrored look of the compact. It looked so shiny under the lights and like a magpie I swooped it up. It actually puts my other blushers to shame as I think this just looks simple and classy. I know I'm easily pleased!

The compact opens up into two sections. The top section is of course the blusher. I've been using this blusher for a month or so now and I absolutely adore it. It hasn't even worn down yet as you don't need much with it being so pigmented. Usually a pink blush makes me look at least alive but this peach blush gives me warmth too. I look as though I've been lightly sunkissed on my cheek bones but not as harsh as a bronzer would do which makes it perfect for my fair skin tone. I imagine a peach blush would be very complimentary to a lady with tanned or darker skin tone too as it would emphasise the warmth.

Now on to the bottom compartment. I'm always a fan of a beauty product that caters for girls on the go so a mirror is always a winner. I like how the mirror is tucked away in it's own compartment as it means you don't get excess powder all over it. I can't even count the amount of times I've had to use my poor sleeve to wipe mirrors in my other compacts whilst also trying not to get finger prints all over it. Is that just me? Below the mirror you will also find a small brush. Again, this is a handy little addition. The bristles are decent quality although I'm not keen on the shape. I like to use a fuller blusher brush when I'm at home but if I was on the go it wouldn't be an issue. I'd just have to be careful to not apply it in a block line as I find it hard to blend with it being that shape.

Overall, I think I've neglected Loreal as a makeup range as I always thought of them as a haircare brand. Saying that, Loreal's True Match Blush is definitely a game changer for me. I can't wait to explore their range for some more hidden gems.

Have you tried any Loreal products? I'd love some recommendations on what to try next.

  17. I also like that the mirror is not atached with the blush itself, it really does make a difference! I'm a big fan of this color but is it longwear? x Josune, Your Beauty Script

    1. They have added some more colours to the range recently so if peach isn't your thing don't worry! I find it lasts me the day as it's quite pigmented. I might need to top it up in the afternoon but I find I need to with most makeup as I have oily skin!

  22. I've always thought of L'oreal as a haircare range too and have never ventured much into their makeup. These blushes look gorgeous though, and so pigmented! I bought a L'oreal nail varnish recently and it's now my favourite one - such good quality and doesn't chip for days! xx
