Review// Sleek Contouring And Blush Palette

Sleek contouring and blush palette

I've been looking for this Sleek Face Form Contouring and Blush Palette (£9.99) for ages and I finally spotted it for the first time last week. I usually use Benefit's High Beam and a bronzer to contour but this caught my eye. I love the packaging, it came in a little black box but the product itself is contained in a lovely black case which opens up with your three lovely colours inside. Plus it has a mirror which is always handy although I'm not sure how long I'll be able to avoid getting fingerprints on it. I like how the contouring powder, highlighter and blusher are combined into one palette which is useful when travelling or even fitting in your make up or hand bag.

Thankfully, Sleek have acknowledged that there is a range in skin tones so they have a lovely selection to choose from. In the fair and pale palette you will find a contour powder, highlighter and a blush. In the shades medium and dark you will find a contour powder, highlighter and a bronzer. As I have quite pale skin, fair looked perfect. I was probably more pleased than I should have been that I had found a fair shade to be honest. Now let's look at each section of the palette.

The contouring powder

This shade may look quite scary if you have fair skin but trust me once blended it looks nothing like that. The powder is easily blendable which I like as it means that I don't end up rubbing my make up off or agitating my skin. I found this looked really natural and did a great job at contouring which makes it my favourite part of the palette.

The highlighter

I've never used a powder highlighter before but I'm glad I've had a chance to try one now. As I have oily skin, I probably should have considered using a powdered one earlier. It didn't melt down my face and seemed to have pretty good staying power compared to using High Beam. The highlighter is very subtle but I found it to have a buildable coverage. I used this on my cheekbones and my nose and it gave me a lovely healthy glow. Again I found this to look very natural which I really liked. You know when you look in the mirror in a car and see your make up in a completely different light? Well I was happy to find the highlighter looked even better in natural light than it had in the house. I'm very pleased with this plus there wasn't any unnecessary glittery parts in it which I've found in a few others.

The blusher

As with the other sections, this also looks very natural.  This would be perfect if you prefer not to wear much make up or you want something that is suitable for school or work. I like how it gives me a subtle rosy glow which I think looks lovely for the winter season. I do like the blusher but I may switch this up now and again when I fancy something a little darker.

I'm really pleased I've finally jumped on the Sleek bandwagon. This is such a handy kit to have! The colour selection was nice to see and I loved how blendable the products were. If you're new to contouring I would definitely recommend this as you have everything you need in one palette and it's so easy to use.

Have you tried any Sleek products before?
