No7 Advent Calendar Round Up: Week 1

No7 advent calendar 2014 review
No7 skin illuminator
No7 high shine lip crayon
No7 eye colour brush and no7 eyeshadow
No7 youthful eye serum
No7 highland mist nail polish
No7 lash impact volume control mascara

I know we're almost at the end of the second week of advent but I'm a little slow off the mark. I forgot to post my No7 Advent Calendar round up for week one so please excuse my lateness! I was so excited when I received this as a birthday present and thankfully my birthday was on the 2nd so I was able to open two doors on that day. I'm really enjoying finding out what I've got each morning so much so that I make sure it's the first thing I do. I've only done a brief trial of some of these products so I wont be doing a full review of all of them just yet.

1.No7 Skin Illuminator
I was happy this was inside door number one as I was desperate to try it after reading lots of positive reviews. I have briefly tested this and it created a subtle dewy glow but I wouldn't say it was incredibly noticeable. I'll have to have a mess around with this at some point and give it another go. This was a sample sized tube and the full sized is usually £11.00.

2.No7 High Shine Lip Crayon
My nude lip collection seems to be growing rapidly at the moment. I really like lip crayons as I find them really moisturising which is great during winter. I'm having a bit of trouble trying to find which shade this is. After a look online I think it may be delicate pink but don't quote me on that! No7 lip crayons usually retail at £9.00.

3.No7 Eye Colour Brush and Eyeshadow
I've combined door number three and seven together as they make a lovely pair. There was no name on the eye shadow which is a shame as I actually really liked the shade when I tried it on. If I wanted to buy it again I may have a bit of a problem. The best I can describe it as being is a smokey brown shade and it looks beautiful on. I also used the brush to apply the eye shadow and I was surprised at the quality of it. I really liked it and it's a handy extra brush to have lying around. The eye colour brush usually retails at £7.25 and the eye shadow at £7.00.

4.No7 Youthful Eye Serum
I'm always on the look out for a new eye cream/serum so I was overjoyed when I found this peering back at me. I've been using this for around a week now and I love it. I'm not sure if it has done anything to make my eyes look younger as I don't have wrinkles just yet but it does make the area feel really moisturised after it is applied which is exactly what I wanted. Again this is a sample sized tube but the full sized retails at £19.50.

5.No7 Nail Polish (Highland Mist)
I am yet to try this out but from what I can see its a nice nude colour. I've tried a few No7 nail polishes in the past and I really liked them as they lasted quite a while. I like to leave my nail polish on as long as possible as I'm lazy so it may take a while to test this one out. This nail polish retails at £6.00.

6.No7 Lash Impact Intense Volume Control Mascara
This is a sample sized mascara and is really handy for sticking in my handbag. I'd never tried No7 mascaras before but I've been really pleased with this one. I've been using this for around a week and I found it didn't smudge or slide down my face plus it wasn't clumpy. The only problem I had was that the brush was a little scratchy on my eyes. I'm not sure if this only happens on the sample sized brush so I won't judge just yet. If worst comes to worst I can always use another brush. The full size is currently retailing at £13.50.

I'm really pleased so far with my advent calendar. As we are already at the end of week two I'll post my second round up soon as I'm a little more prepared this week.
