Charles Worthington: Salon At Home Moisture Seal Review

For the past five months I have been participating in a ban, which was put in place by myself, to not buy any more shampoo or conditioner as my collection was getting out of control. I must give up with products around the same point so I'm always left with lots of half empty bottles. As I have almost used them all up, I thought that I would treat myself. My hair has recently been struggling with the weather change so I thought that I would give it some love and affection. I've looked at the Salon at Home range a few times but I never thought of trying it. I think a change was exactly what I needed. I chose Charles Worthington's Moisture Seal set as my bleached hair needed all the moisture it could get plus it was 3 for 2 in Boots which was a lovely incentive. I had a quick look at some reviews and almost all were five stars so I couldn't wait to hop into the shower to try it. A lot of reviews said that the scent was too masculine but I'm not sure if that formula has been changed as I thought it smelled quite fruity perhaps with a hint of apricot?

So it passed the smell test and onto my hair it went. If you're interested in the description from the packaging here you go...

"The Moisture Seal range is enriched with nourishing Argan Oil and fragranced with lime, mandarin and white florals, making it an everyday luxury that can be used every day to moisturise, smooth and detangle, sealing in moisture without adding weight. The result? Soft, beautifully conditioned hair that feels silky and looks red-carpet ready, from root to tip."

Let me begin with the Moisture Seal Shampoo, It retails at £5.99 which I don't think is too bad especially with the 3 for 2 offer. If you're a girl or guy who likes your shampoo to lather then you're off to a good start with this as I found it lathered very well. Although it lathered, I didn't find it over drying unlike other brands I have tried. Once I'd rinsed the shampoo out of my hair it felt so clean and my hair surprisingly wasn't tangled. Usually I find that my hair is tangled up until I put conditioner on and even then I'll still find a few areas that are difficult to get a brush through so I was happy straight away.

I then moved on to the Moisture Seal Mineral Masque. Alone this again retails at £5.99. I scooped out a little of the hair masque and smothered my hair in it. I wanted to give my hair an extra boost so I left it on whilst I read a book. When I rinsed my hair out, it felt amazing!. You know that moment when you're washing your hair and you think wow this could actually be a good hair day, my hair actually feels decent? Well I had one of those moments. I was drawn to the idea of a mineral masque straight away as I instantly thought of a spa. When I read the description below I knew I had to try it and I certainly wasn't disappointed.

"This rich, intensive spa-inspired treatment, enriched with Argan oil, marine minerals and conditioning proteins, helps to restore dry and damaged hair. It penetrates the hair deeply from root to tip for a super moisture boost. Hair is left revitalised, silky soft and with added shine."
Lets finish off with the Moisture Seal Conditioner. Three guesses what the price of this was? Again, it would have cost £5.99 alone. Following the masque I massaged in the conditioner. I again let this absorb in for a while and washed it out. My gosh, my hair felt so good. I ran a comb through my hair and there was no tangles, no difficulty pulling through, nothing! I then dried my hair. When I try a new product I like to blow dry my hair to see it at it's full glory. I was so shocked that the drying time was cut down rapidly. I'm unsure why or how. Perhaps it was because I wasn't having to navigate around tangles who knows? After my hair had dried it felt and looked amazing. It was shiny, soft and there was considerably less frizz. I feel that this has gave my hair the boost it needed.

Overall, I loved every single thing about this product. My hair feels so much better. It feels softer, healthier, cleaner plus my hair feels less greasy even after a few days. The only con is that I wish that I had tried this earlier. I've been recommending this to everyone. My boyfriend even thought my hair felt so good that he wanted to try it. I have found this to work brilliantly for my dry hair. If you don't have dry hair there are other products in the range that are aimed to target different needs. I think "Salon At Home" is definitely an appropriate name for the brand as my hair does feel like I have been to a salon!

Let me know if you've tried any Charles Worthington products or if you have any recommendations!
