Homemade Gingerbread Latte

The red cups are out! If you're not sure what I'm on about, I mean Starbucks and their amazing festive drinks. I'm a huge fan of their gingerbread latte's and in the past I have spent a small fortune on buying one (everyday). Instead of spending money on your favourite holiday drinks you could be spending that hard earned cash on whatever else you like as I am going to show you how to make homemade gingerbread syrup for your lattes. You can find all the ingredients in your local supermarket and and it's super quick to make if you run out. 

Ingredients: Cinnamon, Ginger, Vanilla Extract, Water, Granulated Sugar

1.First find a pan and add two cups of water. Then add 2 1/2 teaspoons of ground ginger, 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

2.Bring the contents to a boil and then reduce the heat. Let it simmer for around 15 minutes.  

3.Remove the pan from the heat and there you have it!

4.Make you're normal latte/ coffee and add the syrup to the taste you like. I add squirty cream on top and some nutmeg and I'm good to go.

I like to fill a few empty bottles up with the syrup as it looks pretty and it keeps it nice and fresh. You could make this as a gift or if you're like me, you'll have used half of it yourself by the end of the day as they taste soooo good!
