Hello lovelies! The idea of creating a spa at home really appeals to me. Not having to leave the comfort of your own home, lounging in your pyjamas and of course not paying the hefty price tag either. Sanctuary Spa do fabulous home facial kits which are affordable and leave your skin feeling amazing. When I was looking to see if there were any kits that I hadn't tried, the only one I could find was the Sanctuary 30 day Youth Revolution Glycolic Peel Off Mask and Serum System (£22.50)... that was a mouthful! I'm not too concerned about ageing skin at the moment so I was unsure whether or not to buy it (but of course I did).

Packaging:

Inside the box you will find your glycolic peel which is in a beautiful glass pot (which, may I add, looks gorgeous on my bathroom shelf). You also get a quality brush to apply the peel onto your face and then to follow you get an anti wrinkle serum to apply.

Ok so back to why I bought the glycolic face peel. I read somewhere that glycolic acid helps to remove a layer of dead skin which can help to brighten and tone your face. As I have acne marks I thought that this would be perfect to brighten up my skin and help remove some of the pigmentation left behind.

How to use it:

The instructions state to use the peel twice a week for thirty days (not on two consecutive days). Firstly wash and dry your face then apply the mask with the brush. Avoid your eyes and make sure that you only apply a thin layer. Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes then the fun starts. Do you remember at school when you would pour pvc glue all over your hand then peel it off? It's kind of like that but much more therapeutic. Start at the bottom of your face and work upwards peeling the mask off. It's so satisfying! After you've removed the peel, apply the anti wrinkle serum. I must admit I only used this a few times as I forgot but it is recommended that you apply this or SPF afterwards as you will have revealed fresh skin which will be super sensitive to those damaging rays.

Results:

I love this product. It feels really indulgent without having to pay for the real deal plus who doesn't like to be pampered?! This definitely brightens my face up and helps to take a layer off those annoying spots which is all I wanted. As for anti ageing I can't say as of yet if it works. Maybe ask me again in a few years time. I've had this product for a while now and I use it now and again when my skin is looking particularly dull. You get so much product that this lasts way beyond the 30 days.

Sanctuary Spa's Glycolic Face Peel would be a lovely treat for those of you who are worried about ageing skin or would like to try a preventative method. If you're like me and aren't too worried about ageing just yet, I'd still recommend it if your skin needs a bit of brightening.

Have you tried any Sanctuary products?
