Diy Christmas Scented Bath Salts Tutorial

diy christmas bath salts tutorial

Hello lovelies! I know it's a little early but this afternoon the dark nights really seemed to kick in and Christmas overcame me. I haven't gone completely nuts, I haven't put the decorations up but I did decide to make some Christmas/winter scented bath salts. I love the smell of Christmas, there's nothing better than the smell of cinnamon and ginger bread men! I though i'd share with you my quick and easy tutorial to make gorgeous scented bath salts which also have some health benefits!

What you'll need: ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, Epsom salts and a container/ jar

Benefits:
Ginger is perfect for those cold nights as it raises your temperature. The raise is temperature helps to detox your body by sweating out the toxins. Ginger is also great for colds and flues and relaxes your muscles if your feeling stressed or sore. Plus it helps with cramps!

Cinnamon is again great for keeping you warm during the colder months and acts as a natural disinfectant which cleanses your body. Cinnamon is also known to lift your mood which could be perfect if you've got the winter blues.

Nutmeg is great if your feeling sore or your muscles are hurting and can also help with cramps!

Method: Add your chosen amount of epsom salts to a bowl (I used 100 grams as a sample). Add one and a half tablespoons of cinnamon, one tablespoon of ginger and one tablespoon of nutmeg and mix it all together. You can adjust this depending on what you like the smell of the most or also to the amount of salts that you use. Make sure you've mixed it in thoroughly otherwise you may find some loose powder floating around your bath. Add your mixture to a jar or container and you're ready for your lovely bath.

The scent is so nostalgic to me I just love it. It's such a beautiful scent to relax in and I can't help but feel happy ... I keep having a little sniff of the jar every time I go in the bathroom. It's not just your bathroom that will smell gorgeous, after your bath your skin should smell amazing. After your bath make sure you drink plenty of water as you need to replenish your water levels after a detox. These would make a lovely gift for Christmas but I'm not going to lie, I'm keeping this one all to myself!
