Back To Black: Lush Angels On Bare Skin Review

Angels on bare skin

A few months ago, I wandered into Lush to look at bath bombs and came out stocked with all sorts of products. It was completely unintentional as always. I hadn't tried any face products from Lush but I had recently been wondering about natural skin care so it didn't take much persuading. I asked the assistant for some advice and she suggested that I try Angels on Bare Skin £6.75. I was a little worried that it was going to be too greasy for my already oily skin but I was reassured that all would be fine. I used this for over a month and then it got pushed to the side to try a new product. I do this with everything as I am too impatient to finish the product before I fulfil my shopping addiction. As Angels on Bare Skin has an expiration date of three months I knew I couldn't let such an amazing product go to waste so I decided to go back to black.

My skin history:

If you didn't already know, I have oily acne prone skin. I have to be really careful incase a product blocks my pores or makes me even more oily causing a breakout. My skin has calmed down a bit recently but I am still left with redness and acne scars which are slowly fading. I am always looking out for a gentle face cleanser for oily skin but I never have too much luck.

Angels on bare skin

Ingredients:
Lavender Oil - Balancing and calming
Rose Absolute - Balancing and restoring
Almonds - Gentle exfoliation
Camomile blue oil - Soothes and calms
Kaolin - Cleanses and absorbs

This does contain Linalool which I know some people are allergic to!

How to use: Dampen your face with warm water then dry your hands. Break a small piece of the product off and mix it with a little bit of water. This should then turn into a paste! Smother your face with the paste and leave it for a minute or two. I usually brush my teeth whilst I'm waiting. After I've left it for a few minutes, I then gently rub it in to exfoliate my skin and wash it off.

Results: I just absolutely love this! My face feels so clean and soft after washing it off. I prefer to use this in the morning as I like something more stronger to remove all my make up but that's just me. I find it really moisturising but it doesn't make me oily which is really important. The camomile has definitely helped with redness and my skin is glowing from the almonds removing all the dead skin. I find it great for lightening acne scars. I also love that it is so gentle that I can use it twice a day and it doesn't hurt my face. As natural ingredients are being used it means that you aren't overly stripping your skin and loading it with chemicals which is definitely a pro. This is one of my most favourite face washes. I actually feel guilty for neglecting my pot. I suppose having a little break from it reminded me how much I love it!

Have you tried any Lush face products? My pot is nearly empty so I'd love to hear your recommendations.
